I Need You Tuesday

Do you have a favorite day of the week?  Mine is pay day…LOL!!  Most people would probably say Friday or Saturday is their favorite day of the week and who can blame them?  Friday, for most, is the end of the work week and the first day of the weekend (depending on your plans).  Most people sleep in on Saturday and Sunday, for many, even with no spiritual affiliation, is a day of rest.

Mondays are dreadful, unless you are one of those optimistic people who sees it as a fresh start to a brand new week.  Hump Day, also known as Wednesday, is the halfway mark and Thursday, or Friday Eve as I like to call it, is the day lots of bars and restaurants host Happy Hour!  Have you ever noticed how neglected Tuesday can be?

Even when your birthday falls on Tuesday, you look forward to the weekend before or after to celebrate, right?  What do we say when we get Tuesday off in observance of a holiday?  “I wish we had Monday or Friday off.”  Why?  Why is Tuesday so ignored?  I am so happy you asked because I have two thoughts that I would like to discuss with you here.

First, Tuesday is not more or less important than any of the other days of the week—unless you make it that way!  You heard me right!!  Tuesday, along with every other day, is what YOU make it.  The other days of the week stand out to you because they stand out to someone else.  Give next Tuesday an assignment and watch your anticipation for Tuesday grow.

My second thought piggybacks off the first. Everyday is Tuesday! What I mean by that is this, a fresh start is not relegated to Monday. If you have a challenging Monday, you can choose to start fresh on Tuesday. Have you ever considered that Tuesday is Hump Day for someone whose last day of the work week is Thursday? Do you see how perspective changes things? Tuesday has endless possibilities because like every other day that we get to live, there is an opportunity to live in your purpose.

  1. Your post is quite interesting. I have never looked at the days like this. You are right. How we see the days is what we make of it. Everyday is a fresh start with renewed mercies from the Lord. Thank you for visiting my blog.
